100 days of creation, commence!
Follow this record of ~30 creators making something every weekday.
Hey friends, today marks the start of this 100-day Creator Challenge!
Every weekday from Thursday, December 1st until Thursday, April 20th, we’ll create something. (In this post, I share more details.)
In this first post, I’ll lay out what you can expect from this publication over the coming 20 weeks. (I think it’s important you know what you’ll get, for a post every weekday can seem like a lot. 😘) Namely:
the goal of this publication
the format of the posts
who’s joined the challenge
Let’s dig in!
Oh, and if you’re coming across this and still want to join (even though we’re past Dec. 1st), just fill out the form below, and I’ll add you from that point on (to a max of 50 creators, for my sanity).
What is this publication’s goal?
To be an oasis (I definitely stole this term from
😉) for everyone who is joining in this challenge (and our supporters, woohoo!). See it as a place to meet in the comments and:connect and support each other
discuss topics like creativity and each other’s posts
look for ideas and inspiration on what to write/create next (with all the cool people posting stuff, there are bound to be good ideas you can use as a jumping-off platform).
And, of course, I will also keep track of—and link to—all the posts that everyone publishes during the challenge. So every weekday, there’s a list of posts to scroll through from your peers in this challenge. (I recommend hanging around other people’s publications as well and getting a feel for what they’re about. Maybe you’ll even make some new friends!)
What format will this publication have?
As it’s a post every weekday, I’m gonna try and be pretty structured with the post, so you’ll know what to expect and can quickly find what you’re looking for every weekday.
There'll be a section that comes back every time, which is a list of posts everyone posted yesterday. Say it’s day #8 of the challenge, then I’ll publish day #7 of everyone’s posts. We’re an international bunch, so I want everyone to be able to post when it’s their challenge day in their time zone.
I will add either a question (to discuss), a writing prompt (to get you going), or a (creative) journaling prompt (thanks, Christina, for the idea!) at the top of each post. A big part of this 100-day creative challenge is to figure out the creative path we’re walking. But our creative path is inherently entwined with our sense of self. So it’s of immense value to inquire into ourselves to see what comes out.
Who are the 100-day creator challengers (so far)?
We’re 30 so far! 27 of whom will post writing here on substack or on their own publication! I’m so grateful to be able to help people take this leap of faith in themselves! (As a moment of wonder for me, I made a video about that as my 1st 100-day challenge post, actually!)
Here’s a list of everyone’s (substack) publications so you can see if there’s something you like.

You can reach me here on substack or send me an email. I’m also on Twitter, though for the month of December, I’ll not be checking it as often as my email and substack.
